The Trinity Church Library
... is in need of some TLC (between 9:00 am & 1:00 pm: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays and 1:45 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday afternoons) dusting, organizing, unpacking and setting up all the wonderful books, magazines and other treasures that have gathered on my shelves over the past year or so. I would really appreciate having visitors stop in to browse and maybe spend some quiet time with me. (I have a supply of pockets, cards & tags in my cupboard.)
I would also like to challenge the readers here at Trinity to add to my collection. Have you read a book that inspired, tested or in any other way piqued your interest, please consider donating it. Especially needed are past Book Club selections, such as: “Before Green Gables”; “Beijing Confidential”; “Suite Francaise”; “The Alchemist”; any or all of those Jane Austin books that were enjoyed the summer of 2007. For a complete Book Club reading list check with my friend Heather in the Church office next door, or click here.
Thank you to the wonderful members who have donated about 30 books to my collection over the summer months that also need to be processed before being added to my shelves.
The worship committee wishes to create a list of persons who might be available to provide rides periodically, to and from church, for persons who need transportation in order for those people to be able to participate in the life of Trinity.
If you are willing to be on such a list, please forward your name and phone number to Heather Martin either in person or to martinheather@rogers.com
Trinity Weekly Confidential Prayer Chain
This is an important way for us to hold our family of faith in prayer in special times of need. You can be involved in two ways.
First, if you want to receive our prayer chain each week, fill in the blue “Prayer Chain” form agreeing to keep all information confidential. (If two folks in a household read the same email, then both need to sign the form.) Forms are available on the table in the Sanctuary entrance. Return completed forms to Janet McMillan, or place in file marked “Trinity Prayer Chain” on Elizabeth’s office door. Forms should be placed in a sealed envelope provided and left in the folder. More detailed information will be sent or shared with you about this ministry before you decide to become a recipient of the weekly list.
The other way to participate in this ministry is to include someone on our prayer chain. With the permission of those for whom you are requesting prayers, fill in a white Prayer Request form found in the file on Elizabeth’s office door. Please place in a sealed envelope and leave in the file. OR, complete a yellow form found in the pews, fold it, and leave it on the offering plate.
For more information, or for copies of either form, contact Janet McMillan at mcmillanrj@hotmail.com or call 519-823-2468.
"Hi! We’re Trinity Care Connectors, inviting you to join us!"

Together we connect with members of our Trinity Family, who can no longer come out to worship. Several times a year we visit in teams, two by two. We might go out for coffee first or lunch together, then make a call, bringing newsletters, bulletins and news from our congregation. We hear wonderful stories of people’s lives. We share conversation and perhaps a prayer (we have resources). We go, believing we have life to bring, but find that life comes back to us in full measure!
If occasionally you have some free time available, why not join us in this ministry and deepen your appreciation for the wonderful history and truth we share as a faith family.
Do you enjoy a coffee or tea after church?
If you do then we all need to take a turn making it!
The Nurture Committee will be responsible for coffee one Sunday a month at the 10:30 am service. The various groups that provide lunches the first Sunday of each month will look after the coffee and tea preparation that Sunday. That leaves two or three Sundays a month that we need volunteers from the congregation to help out by preparing coffee for after the 10:30 am services. Volunteers are also needed for each 9:00 am service.
The sign-up sheet is right beside the kitchen door. If you have never prepared larger quantities of coffee and would like to have a Nurture Committee member assist during your first attempt, we would be glad to do so - just ask!
Thanking everyone in advance,
Your Nurture Committee
