Gift Card Rebate Program

updated September 17, 2011)No Frills / Zehrs / Loblaws and Sobeys / FreschCo / PriceChopper gift cards are available after each Sunday service at the table in the cloakroom area just inside the Stevenson St entrance. Zehrs cards can be purchased during the week from the church office. We maintain a supply of the Zehr's/No Frills cards in denominations of $25, $50, $100, and $250; and a supply of Sobeys/FreshCo in denominations of $50 and $100.
In addition to the grocery gift cards, other gift cards from Avgen are ordered monthly on the last Sunday of the month, and are available for pick up the following Sunday. The list includes Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, Rona, Old Navy, Sears, Laura Secord, Winners, Mark's Work Warehouse, Swiss Chalet, M and M Meats, Petro Canada, Staples, Future Shop and many more. Since its inception in 2004 to the end of 2010, this program has contributed over $35,000 to the General Fund at Trinity.
Recent Changes to the Avgen Program
- We increased the price of Cineplex Admit One and Child Night Out to reflect their price increase.
- We increased the discount on Petro-Canada to 3%.
- We have added Bath & Body Works $25 at a 7% discount. Bath and Body Works Canada are affiliated with La Senza. You can find them at www.bathandbodyworks.com
- We have added Cara $50.
- We removed Blockbuster. They have stopped selling gift cards and so we have no choice.
Participating Retailers
The table below lists the participating retailers and the denominations available. For example, Canadian Tire offers cards in denominations of $10, $25, $50, and $100. The table also shows the discount from each vendor. Canadian Tire gives a 4.0% discount. Thus, if you purchase a $100 Canadian Tire gift card, Trinity earns $4.00.
