Healing Services

Ecumenical services are held monthly and are open to anyone who  genuinely seeks comfort and healing in body and soul and who needs the experience of belonging and purpose.

Blessing

Healing is something we all long for.
Healing is something God longs for.
(Kate Mcllhagga)

Trinity United Church’s Healing Service offers a time for sanctuary, forgiveness and wholeness.

The Healing Service includes time for quiet personal reflection,  music, scripture and prayer. The Sacrament of Holy Communion, healing prayer, laying on of hands,  anointing with oil and Therapeutic Touch are offered to all who come.  You may participate in whatever way you choose.

Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of  the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will  raise them up. Therefore ... pray for one another, so that you may be  healed. The prayer of the religious is powerful and effective. (James  5:14-16)

Healing

Healing comes from God.
We are merely the instruments, ...
who carry God’s healing to those who need it.
(Flora Litt)

Therapeutic Touch

Following the Healing Service, Therapeutic Touch (TT) offered by trained and qualified practitioners of Trinity’s TT Team will be  available for those who wish a treatment.

Therapeutic Touch is a contemporary form of an ancient healing practice in which hands are the focus. The hands are passed over the  body and through the energy field to assess, clear, and rebalance the  field. TT is effective in relieving pain, promoting relaxation, and  enabling the body to self-heal through the balancing of energies. TT  is a complementary process that is done to support the medical  treatment you may be already receiving.

Services are held on the first Tuesday of the month
All services are in the sanctuary
