A Bit of Trinity History
The Session of Chalmers United Church urged the United Church
Presbytery to acquire land for a new church in the north east section
of Guelph. The first church service was held in the Edward Johnson
School auditorium on February 13, 1956 with over 200 people in
attendance. Trinity United Church was constituted June 21, 1956 with
186 Charter Members. The new church was dedicated October 29, 1959.
Construction of the new Christian Education building was begun in 1964, less than 10 years after having Sunday School in the hallways of Edward Johnson School.
